To the Grave with your Username and Password?

By Sabrina Winters

How many of us do our banking on line?  How many of us have a Facebook or Twitter account? And, how many times have you paid a bill on line?  Every single one of these actions requires a password and username.  The Wall Street Journal published an article that discusses why it is so important to make certain that after we die, there is a way of obtaining these important passwords.  The link is provided for you below.

When my clients have completed their estate planning with me, they are provided a simple form that they keep with their Estate Planning documents.  It is meant to keep track of all passwords and usernames. At our firm we try to cover all the bases!!
